Mercury Astride Pegasus by Faye Seña
—
Faye, a hobby photographer and one of my very best friends, went to Europe (a dream we’ve shared ever since we bonded as thin and awkward freshmen French majors) last month and took such breathtaking photos of Köln and Paris, it’s already viral among our circle in Facebook.
This is my favourite shot from her Paris series.
The subjects are physically heavy and yet they appear very light. A beautiful study in contrasts. More so when you notice the unusual title the sculptor gave it; Pegasus is from the Greek myths while Mercury is a Roman god.
PS. I’m back!

Nate, a Columbia PhD in Economics candidate swung by our isles for a quick vacation. During which he snagged the campaign for local streetwear brand The Artisan, the Oxygen x STATUS fashion spread (coming this September), the Greyone Social STUSSY campaign and few test shoots here and there including this one Gabby shot with me assisting (can’t wait to see the rest).
He also liked Moonleaf! Nate will be off to Stockholm as I write this. See you in December!

Happeh tiems with Kix’ hand (floating, fuzzy), CSJ (left), Nate and me at Gabby’s studio opening.
