AlunaGeorge - Thinkin Bout You (Frank Ocean cover) (1Xtra Live Lounge)
Lee Soo Hyuk @ J.W. Anderson Fall 2013 London Show
Though who am I kidding I’d wear this. I have the legs for it.
Insane, sensational + every fashion review buzzword. See London? Give your creators a strong platform with adequate government support et voila, they will reward you with this.
(I know a McQueen Menswear side story that I will share once clearance has been obtained from those involved. All I can say for now is, hooray Philippine talent!)
Following the rest of the LCM coverage at ShowStudio. For some shows they put out a video review, like a roundtable of sorts, that’s invaluable for every fashion fiend.
A fashion shoot under the sea with the whale sharks of Oslob, Cebu, Philippines.
Shot by Kristian Schmidt and Shawn Heinrichs, noted fashion and marine life photographers, the series aims to
highlight local marine conservation efforts in Oslob in a way that’s never been done before.
Many have noted (and correctly) that far from conservation efforts, what is happening in Oslob, Cebu may in fact be a form of exploitation.
Indeed, far from being an effective conservation area, Oslob has turned into a tourist trap in dire need of reform into becoming a more sustainable haven for the sharks. I hope everyone else who would reblog/read/be amazed about this post, click the links above and learn more about the plight of these gentle giants.
The Philippine media has picked up on it. Read Whale shark photo shoot sparks eco-tourism debate online via rappler.com
My favourite photo from that day.
There’s a difference between involvement and commitment.
Think of ham and eggs.
The chicken is involved. The pig is committed."
The part of Shoshanna, Jessa’s virginal, quirky, “Sex and the City”-obsessed cousin, was supposed to be a secondary role that could well disappear after the pilot. “She definitely shifted my original conception of the character, which was a much more tangential girl, whose main job was to illuminate how un-‘Sex and the City’ this world was,” Dunham wrote to me in an e-mail. “But Zosia’s read — her odd intonations, her roiling insecurity — gave me the sense that Shoshanna could be something much larger.”

Have A Happy Fuckin’ New Year!
"When the people I used to know found out what I had been doing, how I had been living- they asked me why. But there’s no use in talking to people who have a home, they have no idea what its like to seek safety in other people, for home to be wherever you lie your head.
I was always an unusual girl, my mother told me that I had a chameleon soul. No moral compass pointing me due north, no fixed personality. Just an inner indecisiviness that was as wide as wavering as the ocean. And if I said that I didn’t plan for it to turn out this way I’d be lying because I was born to be the other woman.
I belonged to no one- who belonged to everyone, who had nothing who wanted everything with a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn’t even talk about and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzled and dizzied me.”
